At the LookMobile, we don't accept vision insurance because participation in these plans costs a significant portion of revenue, driving up retail prices for you. Insurance companies profit from multiple sources: they collect payments from you, your employer, and the eye care provider, while also owning lens labs and frame companies. This creates a system where the insurer takes the lion’s share of the money at each step of the process.
Additionally, vision insurance has set a norm where many people believe they are limited to getting one pair of glasses every year or two. Consider this analogy: what if you were told you could own just one pair of shoes? It would seem absurd, right? You wouldn't want to wear hiking boots to a wedding, for example, or flip-flops to a business meeting. Just like shoes, your eyewear needs vary based on the situation or activity- you shouldn't be restricted to one pair.
At the LookMobile, we prioritize your needs by removing the constraints of vision insurance, allowing us to focus entirely on you. We aim to provide high quality, personalized eyewear options at competitive prices- usually on par with what you'd pay even using insurance at a traditional eye care provider (link to price list). Plus, most insurance companies allow you to submit your purchase for reimbursement, and I'm here to help you with that process!

Absolutely! We accept HSA and FSA, making it easy for customers to use pre-tax dollars for their eyewear. We do not accept traditional vision insurance, but our pricing is often comparable or better.

Yes! All eyeglasses purchased from The LookMobile include a 1-year warranty against manufacturer defects. If something doesn’t hold up the way it should, we’ll make it right. Accidental damage or loss isn’t covered, but we’re always happy to discuss repair or replacement options.

However, we do occasionally offer special deals during pop-up events, so be sure to check our Events section for updates. We schedule a 2-3 month follow-up visit after our initial visit, during which any necessary adjustments can be performed. If you need anything in the meantime, please check our website for the LookMobile’s daily location. While we don't have a permanent shop, we strive to accommodate requests for adjustments or repairs during our workplace appointments. Yes — if you’d like us to.
With your permission, we securely store your prescription so it’s easy to order future pairs without another fitting. You can update or remove it at any time. -
Absolutely.
Whether you want a backup pair, sunglasses, or frames for a different look, reordering is simple. If we have your prescription on file, you can choose new frames without another fitting or we can update your prescription if needed.We’ll ship your new glasses right to your door, just like your first pair.

The LookMobile accepts cash, all major credit and debit cards, and FSA/HSA cards. No vision insurance is required. Our transparent pricing often means you’ll pay the same (or less) than you would using insurance elsewhere. -

Nothing. Workplace visits are completely free to host. AND employees get $40 off their purchase of a complete set of frames & lenses, when purchased at a workplace visit.

We typically partner with workplaces of 8+ people.

Nope. Appointments aren’t necessary! Employees are welcome to stop by the LookMobile anytime during your scheduled visit window.
However, if your business operates on a strict schedule or shift system, you’re welcome to coordinate internal time slots to ensure coverage, we’ll be ready when they are. The LookMobile does not schedule individual appointments, so any timing coordination would be managed on your end.

The LookMobile is a self-sufficient, solar-powered optical boutique equipped with its own HVAC system, running water, and onboard electricity… all designed for maximum comfort and performance on the go.
To make your visit seamless, we ask for the following:
Parking Space: A clear, level surface measuring at least 23.5 feet long by 11 feet wide for the mobile unit.
Group Size: A minimum of 8 employees scheduled for fittings or prescription updates.
Power Access (Optional): While the LookMobile runs efficiently on solar and alternator-charged power, having access to a standard electrical outlet is helpful to reduce reliance on onboard power during longer visits.
We’re designed to operate with minimal disruption to your workplace. Just park, plug (if possible), and provide premium eyewear on-site.

If your prescription is still valid, you can absolutely use it for your new glasses. Just bring a copy with you.Need an update? We also offer quick, on-site prescription verification so you can be sure your new eyewear matches your current vision needs.

We offer on-site prescription updates, not full eye health exams. Our state-of-the-art technology quickly captures your Rx, which is then verified by a licensed optometrist. Every customer signs a waiver acknowledging this isn’t a substitute for a comprehensive eye health exam—we always recommend seeing your eye doctor annually.

We park our stylish, high-tech optical shop on-site so you can browse frames, get professionally fitted, and place your order… all without needing an appointment. Whether you're shopping during your lunch break or strolling through a weekend event, it’s eyewear shopping made fun, fast, and incredibly convenient.
